Ingredients

  • 5 Lg russet potatoes skin-on 1/2" round slices
  • 3/4 Stick unsalted butter
  • 3/4 to 1 Cup Milk this often depends on the moisture level of the potatoes. If they're drier, they'll need more.
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Cups Sour cream
  • 1 T Onion powder
  • 1/2 - 1 T Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Salt give or take a little as desired

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water (raises boiling point) 10-15 minutes, simmer until tender
  2. Drain and mash potatoes
  3. Add butter, milk, and sour cream
  4. Add onion and garlic powders
